The round dance teachers of the RDTA work together to:

bullet Promote all aspects of the round dance activity to the general community
bullet Foster friendship and communications among our members
bullet Increase our members' skills in teaching and leading round dancing Conduct area-wide round dances two or three times a year featuring all RDTA teachers

Some of our activities include:

bullet Annual Sunday morning round dance teacher’s clinic after WASCA Festival in March, featuring one of the festival’s national leaders.
bullet Two teacher clinics each year conducted by one of our members.
bullet Programming and cueing the "local cuer’s hour" at the WASCA Festival.
bullet Holding the "Autumn Leaves Ball" each year during the first Sunday in October.
bullet Holding the "Snowflake Ball" each year during the second Sunday in February.
bullet Holding the "Butterfly Ball" in late spring dedicated to newer dancers, thus mostly phase II with the rest phase III and easy phase IV.
bullet Maintaining a video library of clinic tapes and ROUNDALAB tapes that members can borrow and view.
bullet Maintaining an RDTA web site.
bullet Mentoring new prospective round dance cuers/teachers.
bullet Showcasing new round dances that members have recently taught or written.
bullet Work with WASCA (local dancer’s association) and NCASDLA (local caller’s association) on joint projects such as advertising and benefit dances.
